Polymer clay is something that I have had a dabble with over the years, and so I was familiar with the subject. The introduction covers the basics and takes you through suggested equipment to buy and how to handle the clay, check out the tips on Crafts by Carolyn web site. It does not dwell on card making side. It has 6 specific projects, with step by step instructions. Also included are a number of additional examples to apply the same principle as the projects. Quite a few of the projects require a cutter, and there was even a suggestion of using a pasta machine exclusively for the clay, which I felt was a bit specialist at this stage.

The book is nicely presented, the 'models' are very good - although I felt some of the cards were unimaginative. I particularly liked the sheep and teddy and it has certainly given me some ideas for using clay in the future.

It is a paper back book which means that it is quite a good price, and offers good value for money.
