Paper Crafts Magazine and Stamp It!: Treasury of Tips & Tricks

This is one of my favourite books, its great to go back to when you feel stuck in a rut and lacking inspiration. The chapters are divided by techniques and have lots of new ideas for techniques we already use-for example there is a section on adding scent to your embossing powders using coffee and other ingredients. Although not a template book (you need joy of cardmaking for that), I do often browse this book for colour combinations and layout ideas. – Nick (PurplePenguin)

It is one of my favourite books as well, it makes a change curling up with a book to flick through rather than sitting at a PC – and it was excellent value for money too - Carolyn

Paper Crafts Magazine and Stamp It!: The Ultimate Paper Crafts Collection

Another great book with over 650 ideas-divided by occasion this time. Becuase its American you will find things we don't tend to celebrate like Thanksgiving and Secretaries Day! but still lots for us in the UK too. As well as cards there are projects for giftwrapping and gifts so a good value book. – Nick (PurplePenguin)

It is one of my favourite books as well, it makes a change curling up with a book to flick through rather than sitting at a PC – and it was excellent value for money too. Like Nick says there are a few odd occasions – but the ideas can still be used. I just love the style of the cards - Carolyn

The Joy of Card Making a PaperCrafts publication

This is two books rolled into one - they were previously available in paper back and this hard back supersedes them. They have some beautiful cards, that have been designed using templates. A fabulous book for inspiration - Carolyn

This is a book for inspiration rather than instruction. There are several cards made using a standard template. The products used are listed but there is no guidance on hwo to make the cards, still a lovely book for inspiration - Carolyn

Paper + Pixels - Scrapbook Layouts

Although not a card making book - there are loads of ideas on creating your own digital bits and bobs that are suitable for cards. Basically it covers PhotoShop and has little tutorials. HOWEVER (this was what really impressed me) it has some really great ideas using MS word, thoroughly enjoyed this one - Carolyn
